Lewis and Partners acted for a joint venture between U&I and Pears Property, in purchasing a portfolio of properties from the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA). They proceeded to sell the properties out individually over the course of the next few years. It was a mixed portfolio, consisting of residential properties in Victoria and Chelsea and commercial property located around the country, from shopping centres to retail parades.
NAMA was established in 2009, during the Irish banking crisis, in order to deal expeditiously with non-performing property loans acquired from Irish banks.
